Every year over 10 million pets are lost; without proper identification 90% will not find their family again. Microchipping provides a permanent way to ensure you are reunited with your pet. We hope a microchip is never needed but it is comforting to know it is there if you do.
Dog and cat microchipping is a simple procedure. We easily inject a small chip, about the size of a grain of rice, beneath your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot. The microchip itself is inert. It is read by passing a microchip scanner over the pet’s shoulder blades. The scanner emits a low radio frequency that provides the power necessary to transmit the microchips unique ID code and positively identify the pet.
